The Addams Family: Pugsleys Scavenger Hunt (NES) Review

The Addams Family: Pugsleys Scavenger Hunt is a NES game developed by Enigma Variations and published by Ocean Software in 1992. Like the previous game you must save all the other family members.

Compared to the last game it was definitely an improvement in all areas, especially the controls but it immediately felt like i was playing a heavily downgraded version of Addams Family SNES. Most of the areas looked like they were cut and paste as well as removing things. Except it couldnt\’t even be bothered to copy everything and you’re left with no music whatsoever.

I couldn’t play for as long i imagined i could simply because of the first few reasons but before i gave up playing it i found something even worse. Not only did i find the boss literally impossible to beat but i died so may times that my lives rolled back over to 99. You can’t win or lose this game.

Also something that bothered me was that you picked up sweets for points. As someone that watched the Addams Family movie that the games are based on I’m pretty sure Pugsley and Wednesday were not normal children. They looked extrememly out of place.

Overall, i might as well just recommend you play Addams Family on the SNES instead. It is far better than this in every single way.
